All vehicles exceeding a weight of 3.5 tonnes are subject to the BGTOLL distance-based system, e.g. heavy buses, coaches, trucks, motorhomes, etc..
Tolls fees are based on:
- Distance driven
- Number of axles
- Emission class (EURO standard)
Used for the tracking is an on-board unit (OBU) or route tickets (prepaid for a specific journey).
