Appealing the fine (fiche)

The electronic fiche is subject to appeal within 14 days of its receipt before the relevant regional court on whose territory the offence was established. The appeal shall be submitted through the Road infrastructure Agency.

The electronic fiche may be cancelled if:

  • The road vehicle has been reported missing;
  • No relevant toll shall be payable for the road vehicle under law or international treaty;
  • Within 7 days of receipt of the electronic fiche, the owner of the vehicle shall submit a declaration indicating the details of the person who committed the offence, as well as a copy of his/her driving licence. In such a case, administrative and criminal proceedings shall be instituted against the person found to have committed the offence.

The request for cancellation of the electronic fiche shall be submitted to the Chairperson of the Road Infrastructure Agency's Management Board. He shall notify the person requesting the cancellation within 7 days from the date of cancellation or from the date of refusal to cancel the electronic fiche. In the latter case, the appellant may appeal the decision within 14 days under the Law on Administrative Offences and Penalties.
